The WADS conference events take place at the University of Victoria which is a 20 minute car drive or 30 minute bus ride from downtown Victoria.

  5. Victoria BC Transit to Downtown: Take Bus Route #83 northbound towards Sidney to the McTavish Transit Exchange. Transfer to Bus Route 72 southbound to downtown.
  6. Victoria BC Transit to UVic: Take Bus Route #83 northbound towards Sidney to the McTavish Transit Exchange. Transfer to Bus Route 72 southbound to the Royal Oak Transit Exchange. Transfer to Bus Route 39 westbound toward UVic.

Note: The Vancouver airport is on the mainland and you will need to take a ferry to get to Victoria.

Pacific Coach Lines: A four hour ride including 90 minutes on BC Ferry. Price is $46 from YVR airport to Downtown, Victoria which includes ferry ticket.

    • The crossing takes approximately 90 minutes.

Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal to Downtown Victoria

BC Transit Express Bus Route 70 and Bus Route 72 run from just outside the ferry terminal to downtown Victoria. Cost is $2.50.

Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal to the University of Victoria

  1. Take Bus Route 72 to the Royal Oak Transit Exchange and transfer to Bus Route 39. Cost is $2.50.
  2. Take Bus Route 70 or Bus Route 72 to Eastbound Saanich at Blanshard just beside the Uptown shopping centre, cross the intersection diagonally and transfer to Bus Route 16 or Bus Route 26. Cost is $2.50.
